We all know Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, but Freeport Factory Stage‘s presentation of the holiday classic has a bit of twist: it’s a one man show. That’s right. Just one dude. Get in the holiday spirit as you watch veteran Broadway actor Will Rhys take Dickens’ third-person narrative to present the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey to redemption. From the website: “With lovely background music, and using a bare stage and a minimum of props—a couple of chairs, a stool, a lectern—Mr. Rhys evokes a vivid 19th Century London and environs, from Scrooge’s counting house to the Cratchit household, from Fezziwig’s party to the “farthest ship at sea,” and a host of other settings.” Sounds magical.
