I hope you guys didn’t slip into a sugar coma last night or drink yourself into a V-Day oblivion because there’s mid-week partying to be done, so take a shame shower, slip on those Party Pants and get ready to hurdle this hump.

Local singer-songwriter, Dan Connor of Gypsy Tailwind will be playing a set of tunes over at El Rayo on York Street in Portland this evening.  From 8 to 11pm you can check out Connor and special musical guests as they provide tasty jams to accompany El Rayo’s tasty food.

Looking to give Wednesday night a good, old folk you?  Then Empire Dine and Dance in Portland is exactly where you need to be.  Tonight the acoustic folk four-piece known as Yellow Roman Candles takes the stage alongside Portland’s newest holler folk and roots band, The Ghost of Paul Revere.  It’s certain to be a toe tapping, true American experience upstairs at The Empire tonight, so check it out around 9 o’clock.

Tonight Rap Night at The Big Easy is proud to present the Portland debut of IceboxIcebox is a hip-hop supergroup that features underground rap legends PT Burnem, eyenine and Paulie Think.  In addition to holding down a set with Icebox, eyenine, Paulie Think and PT Burnem will be busting out solo sets as well.  With each and every Rap Night, an open mic with close out the evening hosted by Ill By Instinct and El Shupacabra.  Things get kickin’ right around 9:30.

Port City Music Hall gets loud this evening as a night of hardcore, metal rock blows off the roof beginning at 8 tonight.  This evening Freya, Letter to Exiles, and Loki crank things up to 11.

Dub Roots Wednesdays continue at Flask Lounge in Portland tonight.  Every Wednesday The Flask hosts an evening of live roots reggae and dub-step with Gorilla Finger Dub Band.  Get ready to work it out to some extremely danceable party music starting right around 8:30.
