Not quite sure how to spend your spare time this weekend? …Oh, you don’t have any spare time? Well, in that case, not quite sure how to justify procrastinating this weekend? In either scenario, Dispatch has got you covered. In no particular order, here are six of our most anticipated events. From a quirky pop show to a brew fest (or two), we promise there’s a little something here for everyone.
1. Central Maine’s International Oktoberfest
Not too hard to get excited about this one. Great beer, food, live music, a heap of your fellow Mainers! What could be better? Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Check out Portland’s wildly popular self-guided tour through its art studios, galleries and museums. It’s an awesome way to get to know the art community in town and support local artists. Oh, and did we mention it’s totally free?

3. Regina Spektor at the State Theater on Monday
The classically trained, anti-folk singer Regina Spektor graces Portland with her presence this upcoming Monday at the State. Tickets are $36.50 in advance and $40 at the door. You can expect to see the entire Dispatch crew there; turns out, the entire office is in love with Regina’s quirky vocals.

The Portland Maine Film Festival celebrates its third year this weekend with a fantastic selection of seminars, independent films, shorts, and lots more.
When: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Where: Maine College of Art Portland Campus
Head down (or over, or up) to Portsmouth and allow yourself to indulge in samples of over 150 American craft beers at New Hampshire’s very own Redhook Ale Brewery. Depending on which session you plan to attend, tickets average $35-45.

6. Paranoid Social Club at Mainely Brews Restaurant
Woo! The Portland bred and internationally recognized band, Paranoid Social Club, will be playing tonight in Waterville at Mainely Brews Restaurant. Unfortunately for you punk kids, you’ve got to be of drinking age to attend this show; tickets are $10 and doors open up at 8pm.
