OK stand-up comics, think you can work a room like it’s nobody’s business? Then I guess you best bring what you got to the Portland’s Funniest Comic Search. And you better enter quickly because they have limited spots to compete. The deadline is August 29th and you need to get in touch with Maine Comedy on their Facebook email.
The contest takes place every Saturday, starting September 1, 2012, at City Sports Grille Comedy Room in Portland. 10 weeks – 8 amateur comedians vie for the chance to be Maine’s funniest comic! No cost to enter.
Eligibility:
* Must be 18 years or older
* Must have performed at least 1 open mic at a comedy venue
* Have earded less than $1000. per month within the last 12 months period performing
* Must fill out a W9 (to collect winnings)
