I’m a big believer that sequels are better than the original. Don’t believe me? Just look at the evidence: The Next Karate Kid, Teen Wolf Too, Dumb and Dumberer, Speed 2: Cruise Control, Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood, Batman & Robin. Really, the list goes on and on. And I think we can all agree that thanks to the wildy popular and completely necessary character, Jar Jar Binks, The Phantom Menace is definitely the best Star Wars.

Now that we’ve established that sequels rule, you understand why you can’t miss the upcoming show at Binga’s, Binga’s Unreal Comedy Spectacular 2. You may remember back in May we posted about the first “Unreal Comedy Spectacular,” which featured the 5-joke Taser Challenge. Comedian Paul Hunt had five new jokes. If no one in the audience laughed, fellow comedian and that evening’s host, Brian Brinegar, got to taser Paul. You can check out the footage of that sadomasochism here.

This time around, the taser has been ditched. We’ve got some different comedians: Boston comic, Matt Kona, along with Joe Timmins, Bill Grey, and Kyron Hobdy. You can expect various video segments, and a game show called “WTFD” (Whats the F$&@in’ Deal). Brian Brinegar is back as the host. And Paul Hunt, despite his unfortunate luck from the last challenge, will also return. Though the taser is gone, Paul’s humiliation is not. Spectacular 2′s special segment is entitled “Joke or Choke.” Basically, Paul will try five new jokes on the audience. Before he tells each joke, a disgusting ingredient is revealed (i.e. meal worms). If absolutely no one in the audience laughs, the ingredient is added to a blender for Paul to drink. It’s going to be absolutely filthy. You can’t miss it.

All the madness goes down this Wednesday, July 11th at 8pm and tickets are just $5. You can’t even get a slice of pizza and a soda for $5. But you can watch some funny comics–and see Paul Hunt yack up gross blended stuff.

Told ya. Sequels are always better.
